The Elite Dancer Program

The Elite Dancer Program was created more than 15 years ago in an effort to fulfill the desire of students to travel, compete, and explore the world of dance outside of the studio. Our company represents Jill Listi Dance Studio at regional and national competitions and ARE NATIONAL WINNERS! The Elite Dancers have won numerous scholarships to different conventions, workshops, colleges, professional programs such as the Joffrey Ballet School, Steps on Broadway, Edge Performing Arts, Millennium Dance Complex, and more. The company attends numerous convention circuits. Members are selected from our studio based on talent, work ethic, and dedication to dance. The objective is to provide dedicated students the opportunity to advance and perfect their talents while developing self-discipline and responsibility. This is accomplished through extra classes, conventions, intensive rehearsals, and competition.

Company membership is by invitation and/or audition only. Members are required to attend extra classes, other than their regular dance curriculum. They must have at least 2-3 years of prior dance training and must be at least 6 years of age. All company members must be enrolled at Jill Listi Dance Studio. Please be informed that there are additional costs and fees associated with Elite, other than your regular dance fees. You are also responsible for your travel related fees as well as convention/competition fees.

Requirements:
ALL elite dancers will be required to attend 3-4 conventions/competitions from September through April . A National competition may also be required to all members during the summer months.

There will be weekday/night classes in addition to weekend rehearsals. Absences will be limited, serious commitment to dance is expected.

Elite Dancers are also required to participate in all summer intensives/programs.
